God is looking for someone

"For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him..." 2 Chronicles 16:9

"And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, ..." Ezekiel 22:30

My prayer for today as a follow up to this morning's sermon:

Oh, Lord, how I want to have my trust fully in You. Not questioning the trials that I face, but accepting them in agreement that You have allowed them --- be it for a teaching tool, effect of my choices, or a chastisement. I want You #1 in my life ... proven by my actions, pleasing You with my life. May my heart be altogether toward You, so that You may show forth power on my behalf. There are many gaps, because many have fallen and some are not answering the call. Lord, I want to be the difference. I want to be the person to stand in the gap and make up the hedge. I want to be the intercessor on behalf of our lost, our church, our nation. The Enemy is attempting to corner many off ... but strengthen us as we stand together with You. Problems abound that seem impossible and beyond our control, but God, YOU CAN DO THE IMPOSSIBLE. Lord, I'm poor and needy. Please help me in Jesus sweet name.

procedures and bloodwork

We had more appointments with the baby doctors this morning. If you don't mind, please pray for answers and God's will concerning these appointments. We are anxious to know what our next step will be.

And 'thank you' to you who continually pour out love on us and keep us in your prayers. Just today we received a sweet card -- "what perfect timing." The love and support of our family and friends surrounding us holds us together, as well as the hand of God. We feel your prayers. And we could never tell how much we appreciate you doing so. We love you.

"And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive." Matthew 21:22

faith, prayers, and His will

A brief synopsis of a discussion from last weekend:

I have faith. God can do anything!
"Complicated" and "Impossible" are not words of His vocabulary.

Abraham + Sarah = Isaac
Elkanah + Hannah = Samuel
Shunammite woman + husband = son prophesied by Elisha
Zacharias + Elisabeth = John the Baptist

And ....... if I don't get an answer
I can 'avenge' Him until He gives me what I want, so to speak.
Right?
See the story of the widow and judge (Luke 18:1-5).

But, there is a risk associated.
Permissive or perfect will?
Remember Hezekiah's results.

So honestly, when I get down to the nitty-gritty of my prayers being answered:
It is really all left up to HIM.

If His answer is to give me my heart's desire --
then "yes, Hallelujah, PTL!"

But, if His answer is not to give me my heart's desire ...
I can truthful say,
"I desire His will."
(even though acceptance will be hard)
His plans are greater than mine.
(and far better than I can imagine)
And I know He will help me.
He'll give me grace and strength.
It may take a while, but eventually,
I'll get my heart and head on "the same page" as His.
And in the end I will still be able to shout ---
"Yes, Hallelujah, PTL!"

believing

Mark 16:17, 18

And these signs {miracles/wonders} shall follow them that believe;
In my name shall they cast out devils {demonic activity/demons};
they shall speak with new tongues;
They shall take up serpents {Satan};
and if they drink any deadly thing {by accident},
it shall not hurt them;
they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

It is my desire to BELIEVE and be firmly persuaded of this truth ...
that by the authority of Jesus and the power of His name,
miracles and wonders will be performed
and the works of Satan will be destroyed
and the sick shall be healed.

Believers do not follow signs.
But signs follow them that believe.
Not them that doubt, disbelieve, or deny.

I believe.

needs prayer

My family needs much prayer. Your prayers for us are appreciated.

prayers appreciated

We have several decisions to make.
Chris and I are prospects for a few jobs.
There are situations that are uncertain.

In all these things, we desire God's perfect plan.
Please pray to that end.
We appreciate you.

a prayerFULL evening

My mind is overflowing of many friends and family in need.

My heart is heavy for many facing rough times,

scary health issues, uncertain job situations, etc.

My soul is whispering prayers tonight on the behalf of these:

A friend, who delivered her baby boy, on Monday, 5 weeks early.

He has fluid in his right lung.

Doctors are trying to find out the problem.

Praying for my friend as she recovers.

Praying for all of this family as they deal with this,

as well as other sicknesses within their family.

Another friend who had hysterectomy last week.

Then her husband developed a serious infection.

Doctors are working to determine the "strand."

My dear, Granny, who is scheduled for surgery later this month

to remove "more" of a skin cancer previously operated on.

A family who buried a family member today.

And many, many other family and friends dealing

with difficult situations in their jobs, health, marriages, and families.

"God, You know these needs before we speak. You know every tiny detail. Tonight, I ask that You would be with all my family and friends, specifically those who need help from You. May Your presence bring comfort and may Your power perform a miracle. In Jesus' name, Amen."
